Last week Lindsey and I met up in Kerrytown, a little neighborhood in Ann Arbor that hosts the farmer’s market. It was chilly and I was tired and feeling frumpy, but that didn’t stop us from snapping a few pics. Pregnancy is still going well and I sincerely enjoy it, though it’s not without it’s tough parts. The hardest part for me is realizing my limitations and not getting discouraged by them or getting anxiety about things.
Yoga has been a major lifesaver, I highly recommend it for everyone, especially expecting mothers, even if you have never practiced before. It’s not always easy to get out of the house and dedicate an hour or more to an activity. But the benefits are priceless. It has helped me immensely both physically and mentally. Since my prenatal yoga class is only once a week, I am looking for ways to incorporate it into every day. Maybe starting and ending each day with a short meditation or stretch. Often we fly through the day without a real moment to ourselves. Imagine if we spent just 5 minutes twice a day away from our constant distractions. I’m going to start tomorrow, want to try?
